What the job involved
Exposed steel over occupied space, which means two things: the structure has to be light enough not to overload an existing slab, and every visible weld has to be dressed. These pergolas and canopies were fabricated in sections small enough to carry up to the terrace by hand, bolted together in place, and finished in coatings chosen for outdoor exposure.
