What the job involved
A 20 × 8.5 ft elevated deck with access stair, fabricated as a tower and lifted into position in one piece. Working at height changes the fabrication sequence: the tower was assembled and checked flat at the works, the deck and stair fitted, and the whole structure craned onto its foundation, which keeps site work — and time spent working at height — to a minimum.
