What the job involved
Fifty oil transformer tanks for MSEB requirements. Transformer tank work is repetitive and leak-critical at the same time: the dimensions never vary across the batch, and a single porous weld in any one unit fails the tank. Seams were welded continuous, each tank was checked before it went for painting, and the check was recorded against the job number.
